Introducing Curtains, the Apex High Spring Musical

The Apex High School spring musical this year is Curtains, which is a murder mystery comedy. The Apex Peak Players will be putting it on in the spring and information on auditions are both in this article and on the Peak Players Instagram page.

To sign up for auditions or interviews in order to get involved in the musical, there is a link on the Google Classroom (the code is dm5dta7). On Friday, November 19, there will be an audition workshop in the chorus room for tenors and basses that are interested in auditioning. On Monday, November 22, there will be an audition workshop in the chorus room for sopranos and altos that are interested in auditioning as well. Both workshops are after school from 2:30- 4:30 PM. Anyone interested in auditioning for the musical,  is strongly encouraged to attend the audition workshops as that is where the music and choreography for auditions will be given out.

Auditions for Curtains will be held in the auditorium on Tuesday, November 30, and Wednesday, December 1, however it is mandatory to sign up on the Google Classroom beforehand in order to audition. Crew interviews will be held on Thursday, December 2 in room 1205, and once again, sign ups beforehand are mandatory for an interview.

Emily Hoder, a junior who is in both chorus and theatre explains the plot and why you should audition. “The musical is about a play that’s debuting, except everything goes wrong when the leading lady gets murdered! It’s a race against the clock as they try to figure out whodunnit, as well as fix the play to make it ready for Broadway. It’s a lot of fun and I would definitely recommend signing up if you’re interested- theatre is always a lot of fun, and you get to meet lots of new and amazing people”

For more information about the spring musical, visit the Apex Peak Players Instagram page for updates. Even if being in the spring musical is not something you are interested in, you can always go watch the show this spring and support the talented actors in the Apex High School drama department.
