How This Summer Will Be Different Than Last

This time last year, the world looked a lot different. A day, for most people, looked like laying around the house, maybe walking the dog, then laying around the house some more. Today though, we are finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. This is how this summer is going to look different than last.
For starters, we are no longer quarantined to our homes. For most of 2020, everyone was to some extent, and it felt like it was going to last forever. Now though, quarantine is a thing of the past. Especially with more and more people becoming vaccinated, there is barely anyone who has to quarantine due to having the virus. That alone will make this summer better.
Another big difference is the opening of everything. This time last year, take out was necessary if you wanted to eat out. Going out for any type of activity other than in nature was nearly impossible. This summer most places, whether it is restaurants or amusement parks, are getting back to full capacity. It’ll be exciting to get back out in the community.
Going along with getting out of the house, travelling will be very appreciated this summer. Travelling has been difficult the past year, even if it is just going to see family. Covid testing, city and country closures, high risk family members. are just a few of the factors that had to be taken into consideration before leaving the house. Cities are opening back up now though. Big tourist attractions are becoming booming spots once again, and people couldn’t be happier. Seeing the world will be an even more beautiful experience than it was before.
It has been a crazy year for everyone, and if everyone deserves anything, it is to have a fantastic summer. Now, with the normalcy that has been restored, it is going to be possible. It is so amazing to see how far we have come, and we now know how truly lucky we are to have what we will have this summer. So… get out, enjoy your friends and family, see somewhere new, and have the best summer of your life. We all deserve it.
