Best Things to do in the Winter

The winter season can be one of the busiest times of the year with all of the holidays occurring so close together. Amidst all of the craziness there are some things you can do to calm yourself down and just enjoy the time with your friends and family.

Going ice skating can be a very enjoyable thing to do in the winter. This can be an indoor or an outdoor activity depending on where you go to ice skate. Other options that are common to do outside of your home are going to look at Christmas lights or even putting up lights around your own house.

There are also some other options that are on the pricier side but are still worth going to if you have the chance. One of these options is going to a hockey game, for example, going to a Carolina Hurricanes game. Another option is going to The Nutcracker Ballet which is expensive, but beautiful to go and watch.

Another thing a lot of people do in the winter and around the holiday season is build gingerbread houses. They are sold at a lot of different places, so they are pretty easy to find. One thing that can be quite difficult while building a gingerbread house though is getting the foundation of the house to stick together, so I recommend buying one of the houses that pre made out together. Once you get all the candy and icing onto the house, it looks amazing, and when you eat it, it tastes amazing too.

Some other fun things to do when it’s cold outside that you can stay in and do are have a movie marathon, bake sugar cookies and decorate them with frosting and sprinkles, and make homemade hot chocolate. Of course, if it snows, go outside and build a snowman or make snow angels.

I hope everyone enjoys the holiday season amidst all the craziness and enjoys the time you have with your friends and family.
