Good news my fellow North Carolinians, the popular supermarket Wegmans will be opening a new location in Raleigh. The company originates in New York and has slowly been working its way down the East coast of the United States and on September 29, 2019, the store will open. It is currently being built in the Midtown East shopping center located on Wake Forest Road.

The company has been considered an amazing one to work for, and the new location will be bringing four hundred and seventy-five jobs to the area. The 104,000 sq. ft. store will have their popular Burger Bar but will not feature a pharmacy (as many Wegmans typically do). The Midtown East Shopping Center itself will be opening in fall of 2019 and will have the following stores: Drybar, Club Pilates, Cava, Salon Del Sol, Starbucks, Waxing the City, Nekter Juice Bar, MyEyeDr., New Balance, Bella Lifestyle, Maple Street Biscuit Company, Petpeople, and Rowhouse.
