Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice

Now that fall is here, the weather is getting cooler, the leaves are changing colors, and Halloween is right around the corner, I came up with some fun fall activities. Some examples include going to the North Carolina State Fair, getting pumpkin spice lattes from Starbucks with your friends, taking pictures in a pumpkin patch, and decorating for Halloween.
One of the things to do is go to the NC State Fair. Starting on October 13 to October 23, the State Fair will open, and people can go from eating fried oreos and funnel cakes to riding roller coasters or playing carnival games. It’s a great fall activity to go to with your friends or family and just have loads of fun.
Pumpkin patches are a great place to go with friends and family. You can go and take pictures, pick some pumpkins, spend time with your family and friends, have a picnic, or just look at the pretty scenery. If you pick pumpkins, once it gets closer to Halloween, you can carve them and turn them into jack-O-Lantern’s.
Sophomore Nayelli Gonzalez told us some of her favorite fall activities: “I like to go to pumpkin patches with my friends and family, carve pumpkins and make them into jack-o’-lanterns and bake pumpkin bread with my mom and brother.”
Pumpkin spice lattes are always a favorite during fall. When Starbucks’s fall menu comes out, people go crazy for the pumpkin spice lattes, Hot, iced, add cold foam, you name it – people order it. This is one of their most popular times of year, understandably so. What better way to spend a cool fall day than sipping pumpkin spice lattes with your friends? Some of the other Starbucks fall menu is the apple crisp oat milk macchiato, pumpkin scones, and an owl- themed cake pop along with many other fall themed flavors.
Now that football season has started, games are a great way to spend your Friday nights. The high school games are a great option because you don’t necessarily have to understand how the game is played to have a good time. It’s also an inexpensive way to go out and hang out with your friends outside of school or just meet new people. High school football games are fun, but so is just watching football from home, getting to see the college or NFL players play against other teams, rooting for one to win.
With Halloween right around the corner, decorating is a great way to spend time with your family and get into the Halloween spirit. Whether it’s hanging paper ghosts from your ceiling or putting up orange and purple lights, Halloween can be so fun to decorate for. If you don’t have many decorations, your local Dollar Tree is a great option, or you can make some crafts yourself to decorate.
These are just some of the ways you can spend your time in the fall. Break out the fall sweaters and flannels, and bond with your friends and family.
