Movies You Should Be Excited For this Fall

It is fall now, everyone’s favorite time of the year to stay warm with pumpkin spiced lattes and your favorite movies. However, instead of sticking to the movies you usually watch, here are some movies you should be excited for this fall season.
First off is Hocus Pocus 2. The cult classic original, Hocus Pocus, has been a favorite amongst millions of people ever since its release in 1993, so to see a sequel almost thirty years later is magical. According to ScreenRant’s article on the sequel, early reactions to the movie give praise to the film directors for casting the original Sanderson Sisters and hype up the release of the comical and spooky movie we all love.
In contrast, the horrifying slasher series Halloween comes to a close with Halloween Ends. This anticipated sequel to its predecessor, Halloween Kills, will be sure to end Micheal Myers once and for all…or will it? In the article “Halloween Ends Micheal Myers Won’t Die,” although it clearly shows Myers burning in a fire in Halloween Kills, he never dies, meaning Myers is expected to return in Halloween Ends to wreak havoc on Haddonfield, Illinois once again.
But aside from spooky and scary movies, there are also heavily awaited action movies coming out such as Avatar: The Way of Water. When directors shared the news that there would be a sequel to Avatar thirteen years later, it caught many fans by surprise. This previous stand-alone movie ended with little notion there would be another, but because the film industry has evolved and CGI has gotten more advanced, this movie is sure to be realistic and otherworldly.
The last movie you can’t miss this fall is, drumroll please…!! The Woman King. Based off of the blockbuster movie Black Panther, The Woman King “one hundred percent [wouldn’t be possible] without Black Panther,” says Academy-Award winning actress and lead in the movie, Viola Davis. Upon its release, The Woman King amassed $1.7 million dollars on its trailers and previews, $19 million on opening weekend as well as receiving 95% on Rotten Tomatoes. This movie is sure to be as successful as its inspiration.
Overall, these are some of the many movies to binge this fall, and we wish you a spooktacular season!
Definitely going to check out Hocus Pocus 2!
