Will you do what successful people do?

Everyone wants to be successful, but what does that mean, and how do we get there? Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) is having a guest speaker come to Apex High School to discuss more about what it means to be successful and what it takes to achieve success, on February 12th in our school auditorium. Our guest speaker is John Costigan, who has traveled the world training and speaking to more than a quarter of a million people on sales, marketing, and interpersonal relations. Costigan is the Founder and President of Costigan Companies. Costigan is recognized as one of the top sales trainers in the world and the creator of “Selling without a Net”.  Not only has Costigan given training to groups such as Google, SAS, and the Carolina Hurricanes but also to many of our CTE teachers here at Apex High!

Costigan has a whole list of accomplishments to go with his impressive client list. To name a few he has been named “Top 25 Most Influential Sales Trainers in the United States” as well as named “Best Speaker” two years in a row by HIDA; he was even the NBC’s The Apprentice Guest Expert. Tom Stanley, from The Millionaire Next Door, was speaking on Good Morning America in reference to John Costigan, and the announcer said, “This is one of the few guests we have where everyone from the back room, the camera people, everyone takes notes. It’s the most packed our studio is because obviously being smart with your money affects all of us.”  Apex High is fortunate for Costigan’s willingness to come to Apex High School to give an adapted talk to our students and better yet, at no cost!

When Costigan comes to our school, he will be doing an adapted version of his talk “5 Things Successful People Do”. The adapted version will allow Costigan to connect, engage, and benefit students! Within the talk, Costigan will use the acronym “GOALS” to drive the five key points.

Every Apex High student is encouraged to attend. The room will also have students from the FBLAs at Green Level, Panther Creek, and more. Seats are filling fast, and we highly encourage students and teachers to sign-up for the event as soon as possible. That can be done at this link. The talk is on February 12th from 2:45 pm to 4:00 pm in the auditorium. For any questions about the event, please refer to Mr. Tullis, FBLA advisor.
