Meet new Special Programs teacher Ms. Hersh!
Ms. Hersh is one of the new teachers at Apex High School this year, and she is very excited to be working here! The interview below will help you get to know her a little bit better.
Q: What class do you teach?
A: I teach the multiple disabilities classroom.
Q: How did you become interested in teaching?
A: I was really interested in working with people with special needs, and I went to a special olympics dance to volunteer, and after that I knew my heart was in Special Ed.”
Q: Where are you from?
Q: What college did you attend?
A: I went to East Carolina University.
Q: Are you single or married?
A: Neither, but I do have a boyfriend!
Q: Do you have any pets?
A: Not currently, but I think I had a goldfish once that died in seven days.
Q: What is your favorite show?
A: Breaking Bad.
Q: What are your hobbies?
A: Being active and being outside.
Q: Where is your dream vacation destination?
A: Anywhere tropical!
Q: What is your favorite food?
A: French fries.
Q: What is your favorite quote, or what words do you live by?
A: “It’s the little things.”
Q: What are your thoughts on Apex High so far? Any likes or dislikes?
A: I’m loving the high school atmosphere! I was in a middle school before, and compared to that the high school energy is great!
Q: What advice would you give students?
A: Don’t sweat the small stuff!
