Q: Where are you from?
A: I was born in Los Angeles and raised in Atlanta. Currently, I live in Cary.
Q: What are your schools and degrees?
A: I attended North Carolina State University and obtained a Bachelors in History. I also have a
Masters in Social Studies Education.
Q: What subject do you teach?
A: I teach social studies (Currently AP World History and American I).
Q: Why did you choose your subject area?
A: I feel that history is my strongest subject, and it continues to fascinate me to this day. I am also terrible at math and science, even though they are interesting.
Q: What did you do before coming to Apex?
A: I took some odd jobs here and there. Nothing really worth noting.
Q: Do you have any other jobs besides teaching?
A: I tutor at the Kumon Learning Center.
Q: What are some of your hobbies?
A: Anything that involves slowly ruining my vision such as reading, watching television/movies, and video games.
Q: What are your thoughts about Apex so far? Likes, dislikes, etc.
A: The staff and administration are extremely supportive and kind.
Q: Who is or has been an inspiration to you?
A: My freshman world history teacher, Mr. Merrill, and my college professor, Mr. Cherry. They could somehow talk about anything for an hour and a half and still make it seem interesting.
Q: What advice would you give students?
A: I would say to be rational in school and in life.
