Many Students at Apex, including me, are graduating high school this year, and will move on to one of the most important periods of our lives where they will either go to college or explore a path more well-suited for them. Since this is my last year of high school, I thought it would be fun to ask students about their favorite memories while in high school.

I interviewed 10 senior students in my newspaper class and these are their favorite memories-

Tas: An undefeated season for his JV lacrosse team.

Nittanel: Dancer in the Fall concert 

Davis: Cookouts with friends on every last day of school.

Markus: Halloween party with friends last year.

Arushi: AP art class.

Zoe: Football games last year when it was cold.

Zaineb: Lunch period in sophomore year.

Bhavika: Junior year homecoming.

June: Getting ready for prom last year with friends, taking pictures, and going to prom.

Rylee: Joining Cougar TV, making friends, and learning how to edit.

One of my favorite memories would be doing stuff with my friends last year like hanging out together in downtown Cary, going to the movies together, and going bowling and getting food together after homecoming.

It was very interesting to look at everyone’s favorite memories from high school, and seeing how they’re different from and similar to each other.The main thing I noticed is that most of them involved events and friends. It also shows what people like most about high school, what memories they will value the most once it is over, and the possible memories to still make for the rest of the year.
