Senior Meeting Bingo!
As the class of 2026 approaches graduation, it is important to make memories, even through the boring day-to-day tasks. All seniors have heard this speech at least once, year after year, and Megan Goodman decided to make a bingo with some classic phrases from Mrs. Hofmann. “Always, always, ALWAYS be kind!” And “Stay PEAK!” are some of many fan favorite phrases at Apex High.
Now, let’s meet the mastermind behind the bingo, Megan Goodman,
Q: How did you come up with this idea?
A: I came up with the idea for the Bingo card during the first class meeting of Junior year! I was sitting with a couple of friends and decided it would be fun to make a Bingo Card of all the things that Mrs. Hoffman could’ve said. It was a big hit last year and we had a lot of fun, so I decided to bring it back.
Q: Did anyone help you?
A: Last year, when I made the original Bingo card, my friends were suggesting ideas for the bingo squares. This year, I reused some of the squares from last year, but I also came up with some new ones on my own.
Q: Were you aware of so many people getting involved?
A: I had NO IDEA how many people would want Bingo Cards. While we were walking to the Auditorium for the meeting, a girl I had never met asked me if I knew where I could get a bingo card, and I saw a bunch of students taking pictures of the bingo so that they could have their own. I only printed about 50 to give to my friends, and I had no idea how many people would want to play or I would’ve printed more!
Now, let’s hear from our principal, who was a great sport at the meeting, Mrs. Hofmann,
Q: What was your reaction?
A: It was a complete surprise. I knew something was up, but I had no idea what it was!
Q: Do you think it’s something you’d like to incorporate in future meetings?
A: No, it’s great that it was student-led because it got more attention directed to the meeting.
Q: Is there anything you’d like to say to the class of 2026?
A: Continue to pay attention, continue to be creative, continue to be PEAK, and always, always ALWAYS be kind!
What started as a joke among friends led to a shared moment for the entire class. Well, Cougars, I couldn’t have said it better myself. Stay creative, stay PEAK, and I wish the class of 2026 the best year and a great future ahead!
