Cooper Flagg Declares for NBA Draft After Star Season at Duke
Cooper Flagg, one of the biggest young stars in basketball, has announced that he will enter the NBA Draft after just one year playing for Duke University.
Flagg had an incredible freshman season. He averaged about 17 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 blocks per game. He showed he could do everything — score, defend, pass, and lead his team. His strong play quickly made him one of the most talked-about players in college basketball.
Thanks to Flagg’s leadership, Duke had a great season and made it all the way to the Final Four in the NCAA Tournament. In the tournament, Flagg played even better, often scoring over 20 points and making important plays when the games were close. His defense also stood out, as he blocked shots and guarded some of the best players on other teams.
In the Final Four, Duke fell short of winning the national title, but Flagg’s performance impressed fans, coaches, and NBA scouts. Many experts now believe Flagg could be the No. 1 overall pick in the NBA Draft this summer.
After the season ended, Flagg posted a video on social media to thank his coaches, teammates, family, and fans. “Playing at Duke was a dream come true,” Flagg said. “Now I’m ready to chase my next dream and work even harder at the next level.”
Flagg’s rise has been fast but not surprising. Even before college, he was known as one of the top players in his class, winning awards and standing out at national camps and tournaments. Now, with his first college season behind him, he’s ready to take on the NBA.
No matter which team drafts him, it’s clear Cooper Flagg has a bright future ahead. Basketball fans everywhere are excited to see what he will do next.
