National Days in March
As the month of March is starting, it is crucial to recognize the fun, unique days to celebrate throughout the month. From celebrating our favorite snacks to honoring unique hobbies and activities, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Let’s take a look at the most interesting days we can look forward to!
To start the first week of March off easy, Friday, March 7, is National Dress in Blue Day! This day is used to bring awareness to colon cancer. Similar to the pink ribbon representing breast cancer awareness, the blue star supports and brings representation to those who lost family due to colon cancer. By wearing blue on the first Friday in March, it helps bring awareness to the risks and factors in colon cancer, encouraging people to get a colonoscopy. It is a great time to take action, do research, and donate to fundraisers supporting colon cancer.
The day after Daylight Savings is National Napping Day. It falls on the second Monday in March, after the time “springs forward,” to encourage people to have a much needed nap. It reminds us there is no shame in napping, especially after losing an hour of sleep during the night. Naps have so many overlooked benefits, such as making you more alert and productive once you wake up. So, don’t forget Monday, March 10, find a cozy spot and indulge yourself in a much needed nap!
March 15, is National Everything You Think is Wrong Day. Every decision you make on this day should be avoided! It is a way to encourage people to realize they are not always right. A perfect day to listen and read other peoples opinions that you believe to be wrong, However, on this day, you thinking that person is wrong, would mean you were wrong about that too, creating an endless cycle of being incorrect.
Not to worry though, ,the very next day, March 16 is National Everything You Do is Right Day. This is the day to tet your theories because you know they will be right! You can also challenge your friends on unpopular opinions. Unfortunately, they will also be right too. Fingers crossed you have a test this day because you are bound to get a 100%, sadly, it does fall on a Sunday this year.
As the month is coming to an end, celebrate National Puppy Day on March 23. It is a day to recognize all the unconditional love and affection puppies add to our lives. Use this day to post your beloved puppy on social media and share the cuteness overload. You can also celebrate by picking up a special treat for your furry friend to show your gratitude. Enjoy a fun, loving day to admire adorable little puppies!
End the month with a bang, celebrating National Tater Day on March 31! There are over 200 kinds of potatoes in the US, with so many ways to eat them too! Keep your eyes ‘peeled’ for all the ways you can feast on a potato; french fries, mashed potatoes, potato chips, baked potato, potato salad, potato salad, tater tots, hash browns, gnocchi, scalloped potatoes, potato casserole, potato latkes, and so much more. This is the perfect day to try a new recipe or share your favorite potato dish with your friends!
March is such a fun month, with so many options of fun filled days to celebrate! So, what day will you be participating in this month?
