Summer Menus and Foods

Summer break is just around the corner, and that means many new summer menu items at restaurants as well as new summer recipes you can make at home for your next pool party! Many restaurants are adding new items to their menu, and we’re going to explore quite a few of them.

One restaurant adding new items to their menu is Chick-Fil-A, which is adding the Maple Pepper Bacon Sandwich as well as bringing back the peach milkshake. This is a delicious combo of sweet and spicy with the milkshake to cool you off after a hot summer day. Starbucks has also added to their summer menu, creating White Chocolate Macadamia Cream Cold Brew, a new Orange Cream Cake Pop, and a new Pineapple Cloud Cake. These treats have been celebrated while the refreshers section has been critiqued. Another highly anticipated summer menu was Dunkin Donuts, who came out with most notably the Kiki Watermelon Dunkin Refresher and the Watermelon Burst Donut. Another notable restaurant is Wendy’s, which is bringing back the Aruba Jam Sprite after twenty years in their stores only. Summer menus can be exciting, fun, and tasty, so after your next hot day outside, go try one of these limited time treats.

If you’re not looking to spend money this summer, try out some of these delicious summer recipes for your next cookout, party, or just family dinner! One good recipe to make is grilled pizza. This is a fun and easy option you can make on your grill outside. It only takes about thirty minutes to make, and the whole family can participate in making them! A delicious option for a cookout is Slow Cooker BBQ chicken. This one takes more time in the slower cooker but little prep time, and it creates a flavorful BBQ that can be brought to a party if needed. If you need a refreshing drink for dinner, Strawberry Lemonade is a delicious drink which is also easy to make. Lastly, for dessert you can try a No-Bake Strawberry Cheesecake. This recipe takes quite a bit longer, but it’s worth it for a delicious strawberry cheesecake that the whole family can share!

These menu items and recipes can be fun to try, and you can experiment with  your family!
