Traveling Alone
As we approach the school year’s end, everyone is booking their summer trips! And coming of age, some of these trips are being booked for high-schoolers to travel without adults for the first time.
For my summer trip, my best friend and I will take a plane down to Florida to my grandparent’s house! We will be flying just the two of us. This is quite exciting because usually we fly with our parents, and even though they will be escorting us up to the gate, we will be in the airport and on the plane just us two. According to multiple travel cites, areas of the world that are safest for solo travelers are Canada, Australia, and Singapore. This is due to their travel ratings, national security, and cleanliness
I feel that there is a lot of fear surrounding this topic but we are mostly filled with excitement. Traveling by yourself for the first time requires you to know some things beforehand. It’s all about exploring new places and meeting new people in a new environment. Just remember to plan ahead, pack light, and stay connected. Trust your instincts, be open to new experiences, and most importantly, have fun and embrace the adventure! Have a growth mindset and safe travels for the summer!
