Spring Finals Schedule

Finals week marks the end of each semester and school year. But this year, the spring semester finals schedule this year is quite different from that of years past. Due to graduation for the class of 2024 being on Sunday, June 9th, finals will start on June 6th in order to ensure seniors can finish their finals before officially graduating.

Most seniors will not have to take their exams if they meet the requirements for senior exam exemptions. Seniors who have not met the requirements to be exempt from final exams or are taking a CTE class must take their final exams in order to graduate. The exemption requirements are to earn a B and have less than ten absences in that specific class.

For underclassmen who are taking English II, the EOC will be given in the morning of June 6th. The biology EOC will be administered at the same time, but for sophomores who are taking both classes, the biology EOC will take place in the afternoon of June 6th.

On June 7th, both teacher-made and CTE exams for first period will take place in the morning. In the afternoon of June 7th, teacher-made and CTE exams will be administered. Those who are currently taking Math I or Math III during first period will have a review session in the morning, and those who have Math I or Math III during third period will have a review session in the afternoon.

On Monday, June 10th, teacher-made and CTE exams for second period will happen in the morning, with teacher-made and CTE exams for fourth period taking place in the afternoon. Those who have Math I or Math III during second period will have a review session during the morning of June 10th.

Students in Math I and III will take their EOCs on the morning of June 11th. The rest of the day and the following day will be dedicated to make-up exams.

Though we are all looking forward to summer, it is still important to continue doing your best in school and try your best on your final exams. Each final exam is worth 20% of your final grade, meaning that a very high (or very low) score can influence your final grade by about one whole letter grade. For more information on the final exam schedule or testing policies and procedures, visit this document. Ask the teacher of the class you are taking for any specific questions you may have about their exam.

Remember to get a good night’s sleep and eat a good breakfast before your exams. Don’t try to stay up late cramming, as this will not help you learn the material. As always, we here at Legacy wish you good luck on your final exams and hope that you have a wonderful summer!
