With many schools preparing and having their proms, prom season has officially begun! Prom season is a very busy time for schools, student councils, students and parents. Today we will look at many of the fun activities that happen during prom season as well as learn about things to do during prom season.

During prom season there are many things to be done! There is always the decision about finding a dress or a tuxedo.  Prom dresses are typically longer and fancier dresses; they can be any color and really any type depending on what you’re comfortable with. You can also have sparkly or silky dresses, as simple or extravagant as you want. Picking out shoes to match the dress can also be a task. Some places to look for prom dresses around the Triangle area are Windsor, Savvi Formalwear & Bridal, Ellie Widle and many more. Tuxedos can always be found in these places, or students can opt to get a nice suit and tie, as well as dress shoes to match. Those attending prom also have need to determine about flowers; corsages, boutonnieres, and bouquets are all options.

On the day of prom, many typically get their hair done or do their hair, get their nails done, do their makeup, etc. Prom day ends up to be super busy! Many plan dinners there with their dates or friend groups before prom. Many also go out to dinner with their friends and take pictures around town. Some places you could go around the triangle are the WRAL Azalea Gardens, downtown Apex, downtown Cary Park, The Raleigh Arboretum, etc. Many people hang out before and after, some even renting party buses!
