April is jam-packed with so many fun things including Easter season, spring unraveling, and many more, but this year a special event has risen that many may not want to miss out on!

On April 8th, 2024, the majority of the United States including the North and Eastern will experience one of three  solar eclipses we will see in our lifetime.  A solar eclipse is when the moon moves between the sun and the earth for a few minutes, creating a dark evening! Simply during a solar eclipse, the moon casts its bright shadow on the earth. About fifteen to twenty  minutes before the actual Eclipse begins, the sky will become very cloudy and gloomy, much like preparing for a show about to happen!

If you would like to see and experience this Solar Eclipse, I would definitely advise you to prepare. The first thing you would make sure to do is be sure to research the best climates for clear skies to ensure you see the totality of the eclipse. In North America, especially in April, it is not easy, hence the phrase “April showers bring May flowers”. The majority of America will be very rainy and dull during this month, so be sure to be prepared! Another way you absolutely need to prepare for this eclipse is to buy your very own solar eclipse glasses. Not wearing solar eclipse glasses may cause you temporary or permanent blindness, so you want to make sure to be prepared!
