On Wednesday and Thursday of this week, students and the community can submerge themselves in beautiful dance pieces! March 20th and 21st, Apex High School Dance is presenting Immerse in the auditorium. Immerse is a fully student-choreographed and collaborative showcase of dance talent. Come catch a show either night at 7:00 P.M. for a wonderful performance, guaranteed to leave you speechless.

Apex Dance students have been working on putting together this performance for more than three months. But what was the process? Dancers went through with auditions back in January, with students and seniors deciding on the casting. Immerse offers over thirty-seven different dances, with duets, trios, and senior pieces. 

Each senior could choreograph, cast, and produce their own dance. Seniors can only have one big piece that they get graded on. This can apply to choreography or take part in another piece. For Immerse, nine senior pieces are coming together for the show. In January, any student at Apex could audition or be a part of a senior piece. The dancers have put in over three hundred hours of rehearsal time, in just three months!

Apex has also invited students from other schools to showcase their talent. Dancers from Apex Friendship, Fuquay Varina, and Green Level will have dance pieces in the show. Apex Dance Program offers different levels of teaching and classes; starting with the lowest level, is Dance ½, a beginner class. Then Honors Ensemble is the intermediate, and Apex Dance Company is the highest level. All of these classes are available for Apex students to take!
