Everything You Need to Know About CCP Registration

Whether you are a rising junior or senior, registering for Wake Tech can be a long and confusing process. There are many steps and requirements students need to meet, so some might give up before they can start. However, the College and Career Promise program at Apex is worth trying out for anyone looking to get college credits in high school tuition-free!

Wake Tech applications for Summer 2024 and Fall 2025 are officially open; they started March 1st. Before applying, students need to order an electronic version of their transcripts from the WCPSS Records Request website. The website makes this process relatively simple. It takes three to five business days for your application to be processed, but you should receive it in your email inbox. Whether you are a new or returning student, this step is necessary.

Once you have acquired your transcript, you can move on to applying with Wake Tech. If you haven’t already done so, make an account on their website and begin your application. The New Student Application will require a lot of information, like personal information, your education goals, your transcript, your test scores (if applicable), and a signature from the principal. After all of this, you will be able to submit your application. The deadline for Summer 2024 applications is April 26th, and for Fall 2025, it is July 26th.

There are lots of resources students can use if they have questions along the way. The Apex High website, under Student Services, has lots of useful information. Many students have had their questions answered by the guide posted there. Wake Tech also has informative videos that explain the program, its benefits, and how you can register.

Students who register for CCP will boost their high school GPA and earn college credits simultaneously. It is an excellent program for outstanding students looking to challenge themselves and improve their transcripts as well as their likelihood of succeeding later in life. While some might see it as a challenge, many students can attest to the program’s benefits and can safely say it is worth participating in.
