Taylor Swift plays a role in many people’s lives whether it is listening to her music, buying her merch, going to her concerts or even following her social media. She is an idol to many,  showing her independence and advocating on important issues.

In April 2021, Taylor started to re-record her old albums due to them being sold by her old record label to another music executive, Scooter Braun. She wanted to own all her music after that incident, so she started making re-recordings of all her albums from her debut album up to her album Reputation. She has since then re-recorded three albums and is releasing another later in October. She has re-recorded Fearless, Red, and Speak Now with 1989 following soon behind. She has also released Evermore and Midnights in between these re-releases. 

Taylor has released ten albums so far in her career with many more planned to come. She has been on tour several times, her last tour before COVID-19 being the Reputation tour. Recently she went back on tour and traveled across the U.S performing in NFL stadiums for “The Eras Tour.” She performed songs from each “era” or album of hers and put on a showstopping performance for thousands of people. She also included two surprise songs each night that were significant to that show giving fans their own personal highlight of the show. 

Since “The Eras Tour” Taylor has been hinting at a film of the tour coming but not until September 26th was anything confirmed. You can now buy tickets to see the concert film at your local theater. The film comes out on October 13, 2023, to theaters around the globe. 

This movie is going to be the next big hit with it already earning over one hundred million dollars. “Swifties” from all over the world are purchasing tickets and are now just waiting until the time comes to go see it. There are said to be limited edition “Eras Tour” cups and popcorn buckets available while the movie is in theaters. Tickets are around twenty dollars and can be bought online or in person the day the film premiers.

The film may be exciting, but that’s not the only thing happening with Taylor Swift in October. Taylor is also releasing her re-recording of 1989. All her re-recordings fall under the name of (Taylor’s Version), showing that she owns this recording. She adds Vault tracks to the re-recordings as well, vault tracks meaning songs she had written before that may have been for the album but they never got put on the original album for various reasons. There is merchandise on her website for this album including sweatpants, t-shirts, vinyl records, and even sunglasses. This album will be released on Friday, October 27th, 2023.
