Meet the Teacher: Ms. Gardiner
Apex High has had the honor of receiving an abundance of new teachers. The math department especially is lucky to have Ms. Gardiner joined their team. She’s a very passionate Discrete Math teacher and coach who cares about helping students.
Ms. Gardiner is coming to Apex High with lots of experience teaching and deep roots in North Carolina. She’s gathered twenty five plus years of experience, all over the state. She even went to high school at Cary, where she explained “I had an incredible, awesome English teacher at Cary High School, who inspired me…I realized my best way to help was by being a teacher.”
In her free time, Ms. Gardiner enjoys a variety of activities. Running is a very big passion of hers and one of her favorite pastimes. She also enjoys music; her favorite band is the Dave Matthews Band. She enjoys attending concerts and sporting events. She also greatly enjoys their company and they’re her favorite people to spend time with.
Coaching is another passion of Ms. Gardiner’s. She grew up playing soccer and even played in college. After her injury, she followed in her fathers footsteps and began marathon running. Ever since then she claims, she’d become “kinda addicted” to running. This drove her to use her passion, to help students better their athletic abilities, through coaching. She’s a well-rounded coach who’s worked with track and field, tennis, and many more. “I’ll never coach something I can’t help students get to the next level.” She truly shows dedication and compassion for her students, through her coaching.
Ms. Gardiner is truly an inspiring teacher to join Apex High. She’s very accomplished and received many awards, regarding her teaching and coaching. She’s even received Teacher and Coach of the Year. However, she doesn’t believe all of her awards are her greatest accomplishment. Her greatest accomplishment is helping her students graduate.
We are grateful to have Ms. Gardiner joined our Apex High teachers. She’s a compassionate, intelligent, and dedicated teacher. We’re looking forward to all of the new accomplishments she’ll achieve here.
