The start of the 2023-2024 school year has brought many changes with it here at Apex from new teachers and staff to updated school policies. One of the more noticeable changes, however, has been the addition of two new vending machines in the cafeteria. 

Sitting against the wall near the lunch lines, the two drink vending machines have gained a bit of attention from students. People can be seen gathered around to buy something or to just get a closer look at the vending machines, but despite all the attention, their opinions on the school’s newest purchase have been mixed. 

Kota, a senior here at Apex, mentions that he thinks the money spent on the vending machine should have been used for other purposes. Leslie, another senior, believes that the decision could benefit the school. “I guess it would be a good investment in the long run. Instead of a kid buying from and giving their money to the gas station they end up giving the extra money to the school. It also helps stop kids from leaving campus.”

Apex High is constantly making changes. It will be interesting to see what they have in store for the future and what people will think.
