Not only do you want to have a good environment around you but also well known academics. You want to graduate getting your best knowledge and education so that you can succeed further on.
Duke University , UNC Chapel hill, and Wake Forest appear to be the highest level colleges in NC. These schools all offer delightful grounds and require high grades. The schools are well-known for programs in computer science, economics, public policy, and biology and also having the best research ecosystems in the country. North Carolina has many other choices, including Elon, UNC Charlotte, and NC State, all of which also have strong academics.

If you are interested in the environment more than your studies, you are similar to others. When looking at colleges, the vibe and atmosphere around it catches many other students’ eyes rather than the academics. Of course, the skills and studying are what college is all about, but you also want to be in a place where you feel comfortable and at home. Colleges like Appalachian State, Western Carolina, UNC Charlotte, and others are some other options. These colleges do have requirements, but they are not as stringent as others because they allow for more flexibility. Appalachian State and Western Carolina are both in the mountains of Boone and Cullowhee, encircled by climbing trails, hipster conditions, and nature. UNC Wilmington is encircled by the sea shores and downtown stores. The weather conditions stay blistering and bright.
